Zion Software is a privately held software firm providing real-time communications and instant messaging infrastructure software and solutions to clients worldwide. Headquartered in Glastonbury, Connecticut, Zion was established in September 1992.
We used the Unix talk command to send ‘instant messages’ to each other. A lot has changed with regard to real time messaging since then and we’re proud to be a pioneer in the Instant Messaging tools space.Since the early days we have spent considerable time developing scalable and robust developer toolkits, apis and real time messaging solutions using these toolkits. Zion Software produce the JBuddy XMPP Gateway, allowing XMPP Servers to connect to proprietary IM networks such as AIM, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo. JBuddy has been fully tested with Isode’s M-Link XMPP Server.
