About the role:
This role sits within our Pre-Sales and Support team, reporting to the Head of Customer Services. Our products fall under the banner of ‘high tech’ and the successful candidate will be providing technical support services to a mixture of defence and aviation customers, providing them with first line support and often acting as a liaison between technical users and our in-house engineers.
The Pre-Sales and Support team have to be multi-talented to cover individual member absences and as such there are no tasks for which the candidate is individually responsible.
The list is split to show which area, within the overall responsibilities of the department, the task(s) sit within. The complete area list is Demand Generation, Lead Qualification, Negotiation & Sale, Post-Sale Services, Documentation & Record Maintenance and Channelling Feedback.
Post-Sale Services
- Support Coordination for Evaluators
- Support Coordination for Customers
- Delivery of Isode consulting services
Documentation & Record Maintenance
- Maintenance of existing evaluation guides
- Creation of new evaluation guides and/or notes
- Maintaining the company CRM system (Salesforce)
- Maintenance of Confluence (Marketing/Sales section)
Channelling Feedback
- To Engineering on existing product capabilities
- To Engineering/CEO on planned new capabilities/products
- To team on evaluation guides (suitability, deficiencies, edits, etc.)
Lead Qualification
- Evaluation Support
- Technical support for prospect/customer meetings
Negotiation & Sale
- Assisting Partners with tenders (technical support)
- Liaising between prospect/engineering to work out requirements
Demand Generation
- Exhibition/Event attendance
- Networking
- Creating, modifying and maintaining demonstration systems
While we are flexible on location, for this role it is important that the candidate be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.
Required skills:
Candidates will ideally come from a technical background, with prior experience in the defence or aviation industries or any experience dealing with governments being a big plus. No formal qualifications are required for this role however candidates should, as a minimum, have the following skills:
- The ability to build relationships with clients quickly
- A solid technical background including experience with at least one of Isode’s supported operating systems (gained in a pre-sales or network admin role)
- Minimum of 3 years’ technical pre-sales experience in a business-to-business environment, or a record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a sales role
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgement and good business sense
