Evaluations
We welcome evaluations of our products and will make support resources available to you for the duration of your evaluation. Evaluations are available for Isode’s Messaging, XMPP, Directory, HF Radio and XML Guard products.
What do our evaluations provide?
We want to be sure that our products meet your requirements before you make a purchase, that's why we offer free evaluations on all our software. Our evaluations provide you with an 'Eval' licence of whatever software you are interested in, usually valid for 30 days but depending on your project requirement we can extend these on a case by case basis.
During your evaluation you will get access to the full product and every add-on feature that you would require for your live system so that you can carry out full checks and run any tests that you wish to. Our goal is to make sure you are happy and comfortable that our software is suitable for your needs before committing to a full version of our products.
While you are evaluating our products you will have access to our technical support team who will guide you through the setup of the software and be there throughout to answer any questions or queries that you might have.
What is the Evaluation process?
We know our software is quite technical but we work hard to ensure that, from start to finish, our evaluation process is as simple as possible.
Once you fill out the evaluation form, one of our team will be in touch with you to make sure that what you have chosen will meet all your project requirements. Depending on the complexity this might just be an email back and forth or a more technical discussion via video call.
After everyone is satisfied and happy that what you're about to download will fit your requirements you will be given access to our evaluation portal where you can install the products you need while our team provides you with the necessary eval licences.
Once you have everything installed and set-up you are good to go. We provide evaluation guides which give you scenarios to work through, or alternatively you can chose to test the software in your own way.
Whatever you chose to do, our support team will be on stand by to help you out should you have any questions or need assistance getting going.

Cross Domain Guards
Setting up an XML Guard
Creating a "Red to Black" M-Guard instance, with basic content checking rules and testing those rules using Isode Producer and Consumer test applications.

Installing and configuring M-Link EDGE, Isode’s XMPP Gateway Server.
Prerequisites
You need access to an external XMPP server and an XMPP Guard, which this installation will interact with.
Directory
Synchronising Directories
Synchronising data between two LDAP Directories (in this case M-Vault) using Isode’s Sodium Sync. Includes advanced sync configuration options and “cached scan” syncs for situations where access to the target directory is not available and syncs need to be generated for indirect transfer.

Setting up a directory using Isode’s M-Vault including configuring the DSA, bulk-loading and modifying data and use of Isode management tools for directory configuration and data management.

Red/Black is a management product that monitors and controls devices and servers, with a particular focus on HF Radio systems.

Icon-PEP is a product that enables deployment of IP Applications over an HF network using STANAG 5066 link layer as the interface to that network.

The M-Switch Constrained Network Messaging products can be configured to exchange a variety of messaging formats (including ACP127, STANAG 4406 and MULE) over constrained bandwidth links. Contact us to discuss your specific evaluation requirements.

Role Configuration: Cobalt & Harrier
Configuring Harrier (Isode’s web based Military Messaging Client) to offer “Roles” to a User, using Cobalt (Isode’s tool for provisioning users and roles in an LDAP directory).
Prerequisites
This guide assumes you already have a working Harrier installation, such as the one installed as part of the Harrier Military Messaging Client evaluation above.

Harrier Military Messaging Client
Setting up Harrier, Isode's browser-based secure email client. This guide will show you how to set up Harrier to support a variety of military messaging standards as well as for internet email.
Prerequisites
You will need access to an external SMTP server for this evaluation. The evaluation guide assumes it is the one set up as part of the "Setting up an SMTP Email System" evaluation.

SMTP/X.400 Message Conversion
Using Isode’s M-Switch MIXER product to exchange and convert messages between a SMTP messaging system (using M-Switch SMTP and M-Box) and an X.400 messaging system (using M-Switch X.400 and M-Store).
Prerequisites
You will need access to external SMTP and X.400 servers to complete this evaluation. These may be those set up during the "Setting up an X.400 Email System" and "Setting up an SMTP Email System" evaluations.

Using Isode’s M-Switch SMTP (MTA), M-Box (message store) and Harrier (email client) products to set up an SMTP email system for local message exchange and connection to external SMTP systems.

Connecting XMPP and IRC Chat Services
Using Isode’s M-Link IRC Gateway to establish connections between XMPP Multi-User Chat (MUC) rooms and IRC channels, without downgrading security for XMPP users with XMPP traffic.

Using Isode’s M-Link XMPP Server and Swift XMPP Client to set up an instant messaging system suitable for 1:1 and Multi-User Chat. Includes setting up message archives for end-user access.
